Who is checking in on the manager?

Supporting a team is real work. The person holding the conversation needs room to reflect, too.

    The person in the middle.

Managers often translate organizational expectations into everyday work while making room for the needs of their team. That can mean holding several competing demands at once.

Being responsible for a listening rhythm does not mean being unaffected by the same pressures. Managers need places where they can reflect without turning immediately to someone else’s needs.

    Support is not another assignment.

A complicated wellbeing routine can become one more thing to manage. A small pause may be more approachable: name the current state, notice what is contributing, and consider one next step.

AI coaching can offer a question to think with. It cannot resolve an unrealistic workload or replace support from a colleague, leader, or qualified professional.

    Make the conditions discussable.

Manager support also belongs in organizational decisions. Which expectations conflict? What work can stop? Where does accountability need to be clearer?

A private practice can help someone find words for their experience. A healthier working rhythm still needs other people to listen and respond.

A Paulo perspective, not a research finding or customer case study.
