By accessing or using Paulo, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. What Paulo Is (and Is Not)

Paulo is an AI-powered behavioral signal and micro-coaching platform designed to support reflection, clarity, and performance.

Paulo is not:

• a medical service
• a mental health provider
• a diagnostic or therapeutic tool
• a productivity monitoring or surveillance system

Paulo provides general coaching prompts and insights based on user input. It does not provide medical, psychological, or clinical advice.

3. User Accounts

To use Paulo, you must:

• provide accurate account information
• maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials
• use the platform in accordance with these Terms

You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• use Paulo for lawful purposes only
• provide input voluntarily and truthfully
• use judgment when applying coaching prompts

You agree not to:

• upload harmful, abusive, or illegal content
• attempt to reverse engineer or exploit the platform
• misuse Paulo in a way that could harm others

5. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Paulo uses artificial intelligence to generate coaching prompts and insights.

You acknowledge:

• outputs may not always be accurate, complete, or appropriate
• outputs are general guidance, not professional advice
• you are solely responsible for how you interpret and act on any suggestions

6. No Medical or Psychological Advice

Paulo does not provide:

• therapy
• counseling
• mental health diagnosis or treatment

If you are experiencing distress or require professional support, you should seek assistance from a qualified professional.

7. Privacy and Data Use

Your use of Paulo is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

Key principles include:

• Individual check-ins are private
• Managers never see individual responses
• Team insights are aggregated and require a minimum threshold

Paulo does not sell personal data or use it for advertising.

8. Aggregation and Organizational Use

For users within an organization:

• Individual data is never shared with managers or administrators
• Aggregated team insights are only generated when sufficient participation thresholds are met

Organizations agree not to use Paulo data for:

• disciplinary action
• performance evaluation
• termination decisions

Paulo is designed for coaching and insight, not enforcement.

9. Data Ownership

• Users retain ownership of their personal input and reflections
• Organizations retain ownership of aggregated, anonymized team-level insights

Paulo retains rights to operate, improve, and maintain the platform using anonymized and aggregated data.

10. Acceptable Use

You may not:

• use Paulo for illegal purposes
• attempt to access unauthorized data
• interfere with system integrity or security
• use the platform to harass or harm others

Violation may result in suspension or termination.

11. Account Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if:

• these Terms are violated
• misuse or abuse is detected
• required by law

Users may request account deletion at any time.

Organizations may deactivate user access as part of administrative control.

12. Intellectual Property

All platform content, design, and functionality are owned by Paulo Technologies Inc.

You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works without permission.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paulo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

We are not liable for:

• decisions made based on platform output
• indirect or consequential damages
• loss of data, business, or opportunity

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Paulo Technologies Inc. from any claims arising from:

• your use of the platform
• violation of these Terms
• misuse of outputs or insights

15. Changes to the Service

We may modify, update, or discontinue features at any time.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of Paulo after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada.

Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Alberta.
